Add Bot phone numbers (identifiers)

For some solutions, you might need to obtain an actual phone number to connect to your Bot.

Note

You need to have the Admin permission level to manage identifiers.

To add phone numbers in the Identifiers Manager:

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard in Action Desk and click Manage identifiers.
  1. Click + New Identifier in the upper right corner from the Identifiers Manager.
  1. Select the country (and its state) and the identifier you would like to buy.
  2. For any additional settings, click the Advanced toggle.
  3. Once you have selected the necessary identifiers, click Buy.
  4. Done! The new identifiers will appear in the Identifiers Manager.

Note

When selecting the state, feel free to hover over the map instead of using the Select state dropdown. Identifiers from Alaska and Hawaii are more expensive, so we recommend using them only if the business requires them.

To add phone numbers without leaving the Designer:

  1. Click + Add new number from the Bot numbers dropdown to open the Identifiers Manager pop-up.
  1. Select the state from the States dropdown.
  2. Select the phone number from the list of available numbers.
  3. Click Buy.
