Download Step templates

Unlike Bots and Flows, you can download a Step template only once per Flow, but you can customize it as many times as needed. To add a new Step template to your Flow, open the Flow, switch to Edit mode by clicking Edit, and open the Templates tab.

There are three ways of adding a Step template to your Flow:

  1. To re-use a Step template, navigate to the Templates tab that displays the Step templates you are using in your Flow. From there, drag and drop the needed Step template on the respective + sign on the Canvas.

  2. To add a Step template from the Library:

  • Scroll down the Templates tab and click Library on the blue banner at the bottom of the Step templates list. You will land on the Library tab with all Step templates that exist in the system. You can select which Step template version to download by clicking the Versions dropdown. In the Another flow tab, you can search for Step templates you know you have already used or customized. From there, you can select the Bot and the Flow within that Bot to search for the specific Step template. The Favorites tab lists Steps you have previously marked as favorites.
  • Click the + sign on the Canvas. You will land on the Current Flow tab that contains all Step templates you have downloaded (not yet necessarily used) in the current Flow. The Related tab displays the Step templates you might want to use next in your solution. The system analyzes the previous two Steps in the Flow, looks for similar connections in similar Flows within the account, and makes its suggestion. If you use custom Steps only, the system will analyze the current Flow.
  1. To add a blank Step template, click Or create a new step template on the blue banner at the bottom of the Templates tab. You can also create a new Step template from the Library by clicking + Create a new step template in the Library iFrame. Either of the options opens a pop-up with a blank Step template. Here you can define your Step template details, design, and logic. To learn more about creating Step templates, see Create a custom Step template.

Note

We always recommend downloading Step templates from the Library over creating custom ones. The Step templates in the Library are designed to conform to the best UX practices and latest industry standards and are maintained and regularly updated by OneReach.ai.

Step templates downloaded from the Library are listed in the Templates tab in the Configuration panel.
